Directions to 1314 Texas St. (The Great Southwest Building)
From I-10 West Going Eastbound
Take I-10 east and exit Smith Street Downtown. Take Smith to Texas and turn left on Texas. Take Texas to 1314 which is on the right side at the corner of Texas and Austin.
From 1-10 East Going Westbound
Take I-10 Westbound toward downtown. Exit San Jacinto staying towards the left while you go through the light. You will be on San Jacinto Street but once you pass the jail the street becomes Fannin. Take Fannin to Texas and Turn left. Stay on Texas until you reach 1314.
From I-45 North goingSouthbound:
Take I-45 Northbound through downtown on the Piece Elevated. Exit left land to Houston Ave. Take Houston Ave. to Washington Street. Turn right on Washington Street. Washington street will turn into Franklin Street. Take Franklin to Fannin and turn right. Take Fannin to Texas and turn left.
From I-45 Going Southbound:
Take I-45 South to downtown. Exit Milam street and stay on Milam until you reach Texas then turn left onto Texas.
From Hwy 59 North Going Southbound:
Take 59 South to I-10 West. Take I-10 West to San Jacinto Street. Exit and stay towards the left. Continue going straight throught the light and San Jacinto will become Fannin (one way street) Take Fannin to Texas and turn left.
From Hwy 59 South (and Hwy 288 North) going Northbound:
Take Hwy 59 northbound to the Gray/Pierce exit. Once you exit continue (on Chartres) until you reach Capitol. Turn left on Capital and continue until you reach San Jacinto St. then turn right. Take San Jacinto to Texas then Turn right onto Texas.
From Highway 290:
Take 290 to 610 loop South and merge towards the right to position yourself to take the "I-10 to Downtown" exit lane. Take I-10 Eastbound to downtown then exit Smith St. Take Smith to Texas and turn left.
1314 Texas is the Great Southwest building at the corner of Texas and Austin. It has a green awning out front and Irma's Southwest Grill is on the bottom floor. Ms. Tonry's office is located on the 8th floor in Suite 811.
Although there is no client parking at the Great Southwest building itself, there are meters in front of the building and affordable pay lots right after you cross Austin street. |
